When prison is a weapon

Earlier this month, six Palestinians placed the plight of the Palestinian prisoners at the centre of the Palestinian struggle, through their successful escape from high-security Gilboa prison in Israel. The escapees became instant heroes to all Palestinians, while Israel launched a massive manhunt, mass arrests, and collective punishment to mask their fallibility.
